NYC Update — Day 5
Some observations from today:
— Every night I wipe down the apartment.
I use a bucket with water and Clorox. I do all the surfaces and knobs, like the kitchen counter, door jambs, door knobs, fridge door handle, light switches, and drawer pulls in all rooms.
I swab all the tile floors (foyer, kitchen, and bathroom).
I don’t know if Clorox will hurt my wood floor. So I use Windex in high trafficked wood floor areas. A Yale infectious disease expert says Windex works. (Nod to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”)
— At bedtime I am so relieved. We are disinfected. Sweet dreams.
I don’t have to worry about any it again until the next afternoon if I need to run errands. (For the morning dogwalk, it’ll be just shoes, hands, doorknobs and leashes.)
— FOILED!
The microwave repair guy came this morning. We didn’t even call to cancel because we figured everything in life was just automatically cancelled.
